Architectural Design

I had the difficult task of remodeling my home. I needed to remove a wall to make my living room kitchen open planned and a wall put up to turn my spacious master bedroom into two rooms for my sons. I sought out a contractor and I thought they would handle everything needed to be done. For extra fees they could find me a structural engineer and architect so to save some money I did it myself. I found Sten Engineering on Yelp, they didn't have any reviews but after a lengthy phone call, they were able to put my mind at ease. They were pretty fast at coming up with a proposal and everything was professional and covered all the bases.I was still very happy with my decision. They got the measurements they needed and drew up the plans in what I would take much longer. They got their work seen by the city and there was a lot of going back and forth with corrections. I felt very comfortable with Sten Engineering and felt I got my money's worth. I hope it goes this way with my contractor and the building process. Thank you very much!

I met Sten Engineering in the Summer and came to their office after they contacted about the soft story work needing done on my building. I like that they were pro active and contacted me instead of vice versa. Their office was very welcoming and professional looking, not what I was expecting from a start up company but excuse my ignorance. The building they are in says it's visitors must wear a mask at all times and these gentlemen offer hand sanitizer as you come in the office. I felt very safe. We discussed the process of the work to be done and I felt it was very affordable, cheaper than the bigger structural engineers I had spoken with. But this in no way shape or form diminished the work they did for me. I got my plans in no time from Sten Engineering. I appreciate everything Sten Engineering did for me. 10 star service! When constructing my ADU, I was told I needed a structural engineer to draw up the plans. I did a quick Google search and found these guys. I called and polite gentleman answered and passed me to Evgeny who was very informative and helpful on the phone. We arranged a time to meet because he needed to make measurements and he made the whole procedure go very smoothly. He even offered me a contractor to do the construction who was very professional compared to the many cowboys out there. If these guys keep going what they are doing, they will be a very profitable business indeed.

We live in a studio and our shower is out in the open. This caused mold issues so we needed to have it enclosed and ventilated. I contacted contractor and they said they could do the job but first of I needed engineers to draw up the plans to get clearance from the city for the work to be done. They recommended STEN Engineering, I called and spoke to Evgeny and he talked me through the process and cost. He was very patient with me because he could tell this was all new to me. I went to the office which is COVID-19 compliant in my eyes, mask wearing, hand sanitizer on supply, and met his partner Tomik. These are both family men and you can tell they are very caring and attentive at home from how they were with me. I only worked with them for a few weeks but my time with them made a big impression, I wish them the best of success. Thank you guys.
